This is the short version of our privacy policy. It covers what we collect, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. If anything here is unclear, email us — we’d rather answer a question than hide behind legalese.
ProximaSync is a startup building offline-first sync infrastructure for the apps people rely on when the internet isn’t there. It is founded and currently run by Wilmarx John Cayabyab, and operated from the Philippines.
If you need to reach a real person about anything on this page, email wilmarx.cayabyab@gmail.com.
Right now, the only place this site collects anything is the contact form. When you submit it, we receive your name, your email address, the role you picked from the dropdown (Investor, Design Partner, Developer, or Other), and the message you wrote if you chose to include one.
That’s it. No cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels, no third-party scripts. If you land on this site and never fill out the form, we have no record that you were here.
We collect contact form submissions for one reason: to reply to you. If you reach out as an investor or a potential design partner, we may follow up to continue the conversation. That follow-up is always a direct, personal reply — not an automated sequence.
We do not run marketing automation. We do not add you to a newsletter. If we ever introduce one, it will be strictly opt-in, and this page will say so before it launches.
Form submissions are currently handled through the site’s own backend endpoint. We have not connected a third-party form processor or CRM yet. When that changes — for example, if we move to a service like Formspree or Resend — we will update this section to name the processor and link to their policy.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, or partners. It does not get traded, rented, or handed off to any third party.
We only keep contact form submissions for as long as we need them to respond to you and to keep context on an ongoing conversation. There is no indefinite retention. If we exchange a few messages and nothing comes of it — or if you don’t reply — your submission is deleted within 90 days.
If you ask us to delete your data sooner, we’ll do it sooner.
You can ask us what data we hold about you, and we’ll tell you. You can ask us to correct it if something is wrong. You can ask us to delete it, and we will — this is often called the right to be forgotten. If you previously gave us consent to hold your data, you can withdraw that consent at any time, and we’ll act on it.
If you’re a California resident, you also have the right to know what personal information we have collected, the right to have it deleted, and the right to opt out of its sale. We don’t sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front — but the right still stands.
If you’re in the Philippines, the rights granted to you under Republic Act 10173 (the Data Privacy Act of 2012) apply in full. That includes the right to be informed, the right to access, the right to object, the right to erasure or blocking, the right to rectification, and the right to damages for misuse.
To exercise any of these rights, email wilmarx.cayabyab@gmail.com. A real person will reply.
This site does not currently use cookies, analytics tools, or tracking of any kind. There is no session storage of your behavior, no fingerprinting, no pixel calls going back to an ad network. If you open the browser’s developer tools and watch the network tab, you’ll see that for yourself.
If we ever add something like a privacy-respecting analytics tool, we will update this page first, and — where required — we’ll add a clear cookie notice before any of it runs.
This site is aimed at developers, investors, and operators. It is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, email us and we’ll delete it.
If our data practices change, we will update this page, and the “last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after those changes take effect means you accept them. If a change is material — for example, introducing analytics or a new form processor — we will call it out clearly here.
For any privacy question, data request, or concern, email wilmarx.cayabyab@gmail.com. We aim to respond within a few business days.
If you are based in the Philippines and believe your rights under RA 10173 have not been respected, you can also file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission at privacy.gov.ph. We’d rather you talk to us first — but the option is yours.
